Open Vays.dmg and drag VAYS Direct into your Applications folder. It sits next to the App Store version if you have one. VAYS is notarized by Apple, so it opens like any other app.
macOS asks for the Microphone, so VAYS can hear you, and for Accessibility the first time you dictate, so it can type into other apps.
Your 7-day trial starts right away. When you buy, you get a licence key to paste into VAYS, and that's it.

Yes. After the first download of the app and its speech model, Dictate works without a connection. Your licence is checked on your Mac, never online.
VAYS keeps working, with every update you got during that year. If you want the versions released after that, renew updates for 69 PLN a year. It is optional: skip it and nothing stops working.

Typing into other apps is not allowed by the Mac App Store sandbox rules, so Dictate lives in the direct download. Everything else in VAYS for Mac is in both.
Yes, for free. If you bought VAYS on the Mac App Store before the direct edition launched, download VAYS Direct and open it on the same Mac: it finds your purchase and unlocks itself, with 12 months of updates. Thank you for trusting us early. On first launch it also offers to copy your library (memos, recordings, transcripts, speakers, chats) from the App Store version; you can do it later in Settings.
